DEAL TOWN 0 RAMSGATE 2

By Natalie Benville

Two superb individual goals by Kyron Lightfoot gave Ramsgate victory at the Charles Ground on Tuesday night.

Lightfoot opened the Rams’ account with an 18th-minute free-kick and then struck again three minutes after the break when he finished off some good work by former Hoops’ player Charlie Dickens.

At the other end Charlie Walsh tested Rams’ keeper Luke Watkins with a first-half overhead kick while Troy Howard went close to pulling a goal back in the second half, and at the final whistle Derek Hares could again be satisfied with another good workout for his young side.

  1. Considering we had the likes of Coyne,Miller,Scott, Reeves and Kane Smith all missing from last night,I didn’t think the young lads disgraced themselves against a pretty strong Ramsgate side.
Don’t agree with” Chappers” playing at right back though! 🙂
Hope that’s not permanent. Waste of talent. 😉
    Harky’s the natural choice.
