THE HOOPS v CROWBOROUGH PREVIEW

By Deal Town

After last weekend’s defeat at Greenwich Borough the Hoops will look to return to winning ways  when they travel to East Sussex to take on Crowborough Athletic on Saturday.

And the man Deal will have to keep a close eye on, providing he is playing, is striker Josh Biddlecombe who has scored in all of the Crows’ last seven matches and has 14 for the season in total.

However, after scoring Crowborough’s goal from the penalty spot in last weekend’s 2-1 defeat at Lordswood, Biddlecombe had to come off with a knee injury which must make him a doubt for Saturday’s game.

Connor Coyne, who scored Deal’s goal in their 1-1 draw at Crowborough last season, is also still sidelined by a knee injury along with Michael Yianni but Joe Anderson returns to the squad having been unavailable for the Greenwich game.

The Hoops Reserves, meanwhile, will bid to make it nine matches unbeaten in the NRG Kent County League when they take on Sheppey Utd Reserves at the Charles Ground on Saturday (2pm).

  1. After reading the latest match report I think Josh Biddlecombe will be doubtful for Crowborough.
No news on their website for 3 days.
I am sure that all at Deal will be concentrating on there selves.
I don’t know much about them I must admit and confess that I haven’t been there before.
Hoping that the match will be on and that we (Deal ) can get a result.
    Come on Deal.!!!!

  2. Good luck to the team tomorrow. Defeat is not an option! 😉
On another subject,it looks like the friendly against Folkestone could be off,as the re-arranged game against Cray in the cup is down for Wednesday next week!
Anybody know if this is the case?
