HOOPS V AFC CROYDON PREVIEW

By Deal Town

The Hoops play their first home game for over a month when they meet AFC Croydon Athletic on Saturday and they will be hoping that they can start reproducing the good form that they have been showing “on the road” in recent weeks.

Deal are without a win in their last six matches at the Charles Ground whereas their last four away games have yielded three wins and a draw, including Tuesday’s 1-0 victory at K Sports.

On-loan goalkeeper Joe Mant, who kept a clean sheet on his debut for the Hoops at K Sports, will again be deputising for the unavailable James Tonkin against an AFC Croydon side who have lost their last five matches, but who held the Hoops to a 2-2 draw when they met in south-east London on the opening day of the season.
