The Hoops will have a new goalkeeper between the posts for tonight’s league game at K Sports.
With James Tonkin unavailable for the game, and also for Saturday’s home match with AFC Croydon, Deal have signed Joe Mant on loan from SCEL Division 1 side Kennington.
After completing their third league “double” of the season in their last match against Hollands & Blair the Hoops will be looking to add another one to that list tonight.
And Derek Hares’ side have in fact already beaten the Paperboys twice this season, winning 4-1 at Cobdown in an FA Vase 2nd qualifying round tie in early September and then following that up the following weekend by defeating K Sports 2-1 at home in the league.
Although the Hoops didn’t have a match last weekend K Sports were in action and they suffered their third successive league defeat, going down 3-0 at Lordswood, and they have now slipped to 12th place in the table having been in seventh position little over a month ago.
Deal for their part know that three points tonight could lift them back into seventh place, depending on how Lordswood get on against Rusthall tonight.

Good to see an experienced keeper, such as Joe Mant,”backing up” Tonks between the sticks.
Hope he enjoys his stint at Deal!
Hi Guys
Sadly I will not be able to make any of the remaining games as I not in Deal until mid April.
Good Luck for the rest of the season
I am also unable to see Hungerford Town again this season due to commitments elsewhere – hopefully they will avoid relegation as they are putting up a good fight – the win last Saturday was well deserved and really it is one of five for the final relegation place,
