The Hoops will be looking to gain revenge for an earlier cup defeat this season at the hands of Cray Valley PM when the sides meet in the quarter-finals of the Macron SCEFL Challenge Cup at Badgers Sports Ground on Wednesday (7.45pm).
Deal lost 3-1 on the same ground in the second round of the Kent Senior Trophy back in mid-October, when Lee Scott was on target for the Hoops.
At the time the Millers were 15th in the league table, three places above Deal, but the Hoops’ excellent recent form means they will go into Wednesday’s tie now five places above their opponents and with their confidence still high despite last Saturday’s 4-1 defeat at title-chasing Greenwich Borough.

As the original game was cancelled and has now been re-arranged by the league for Wednesday the 3rd Feb,is it a wise idea going ahead with a friendly against Folkestone on Tuesday the 2nd!!?
Surely you run the risk of injuries, tiredness etc for an important cup game some 24 hours later!
Surely the right thing to do would be to cancel the friendly. The club might need the money, but at least the team would be fit!
