Cardwell and Rodgers Sign On

The club are pleased to announce that Ben Cardwell and Harris Rodgers have signed for the club for the forthcoming season after impressing during pre-season.

Attacker Harris joins the club having played for both Millwall and Maidstone United during his youth football days. Despite a slight injury that has forced him to miss the most recent friendlies Harris has already made a positive impression so far including an early goal of the season contender in the 1-0 win against Margate. Commenting on the signing Steve King said, ‘We are pleased to have signed Harris. He is a player I have watched since his Millwall days and somebody with a huge amount of talent. We hope to give him a platform to get back to his best and hope to see him scoring plenty of goals in a Deal shirt.

Ben is also a young attacker and joins us from Dover Athletic Academy. He has featured in all of the pre-season friendlies so far and has impressed with his direct style of play. Kingy commented ‘Ben has impressed Del, Dean and myself during pre-season and was excellent in the game against Sevenoaks. He has a very good attitude and is another young player that we hope to develop during his time at the club’

We would like to welcome both Harris and Ben to the club and hope they have an enjoyable and successful time at the Charles Ground.
