OTTO ENJOYS “EXTRA SPECIAL” BIRTHDAY PRESENT

By Deal Town

Young Hoops’ supporter Otto Meikle enjoyed his special birthday present at our last home game against Bearsted.

Otto is the son of Helena and Richard Meikle, the owners of “The Politician’s Daughter” Restaurant in Wingham, and they have been kindly sponsoring two Hoops’ players this season, goalkeeper James Tonkin and midfielder Andy Miller.

And, as Otto wants to become a goalkeeper himself, he enthusiastically took part in a pre-match training session with James before watching the match with his parents and older sister Ava.

Then, after the game had finished, Otto and Ava presented the man-of-the-match trophy to Kane Smith who father Richard had selected as MOM after Kane had produced another typically solid performance at centre-half.

Otto’s mum Helena said: “We would like to thank everyone at Deal Town for helping us to give Otto such an extra special birthday present.”
