“TJ” A FULL INTERNATIONAL

By Deal Town

Thomas “TJ” Bramble’s debut for Deal against Corinthian on Saturday means that the Hoops now have a current full international player within their ranks.

The 17-year-old midfielder, who along with Jude Arthurs is currently on loan from Gillingham, has made one appearance for Antigua and Barbuda, helping them to a 3-2 friendly win over Bermuda last March.

“TJ”, who was chosen as Deal’s man-of-the-match against Corinthian, becomes only the club’s second-ever current full international. The first was an Iraqi international by the name of Eddie Melekian who made three appearances for the Hoops at the start of the 1964-65 season when they  were playing in the Southern League.

  1. Although not a ” current full international “, don’t forget Steve Lovell, who played for Deal in the FA Vase final, who was capped for Wales in the eighties,so we have had an international turn out for the Hoops lately?
