ROCHESTER UTD vs HOOPS PREVIEW

By Deal Town

The Hoops will cross swords with former manager Darren Anslow in their away league game at Rochester United on Wednesday night.
Anslow, who was in charge at the Charles Ground for a brief period at the start of the 2014-15 season, was appointed Rochester’s joint manager alongside Paul Gross earlier this month after the struggling Spartans parted company with Ian Varley.
Rochester are lying second from bottom of the Southern Counties East League with just five points from 14 games and the new Anslow/Gross regime has not started well with defeats in their opening two matches in charge against Beckenham and Glebe.
Last season the Hoops drew both their league games with Rochester including a goalless 90 minutes at Rede Court Road in April but Derek Hares’ side will be looking to improve on that against a Spartans side who have picked up only one point in their seven home league games so far.
And, after having a couple of matches postponed this month and suffered defeats in their two other games, the Hoops will be keen to get back on the winning trail.

  1. It’s gonna be an intriguing encounter mainly because the struggling Spartans are desperate to get some points and will look to make things difficult.
Deal know that it won’t be easy the games are always close.
It would be nice to get a win and take three points and hope that Deal will be at full strength.
Wish the lads all the best.
    Come on Deal.!!!!

  2. Firstly,I have spotted you deliberate mistake and claim my £5 prize????
The 0-0 draw in April was in fact at HOME.
3 welcome points and no further injures will put us in good stead for Saturdays’ cup game.
Looking forward to a good game.
