The Hoops are back in FA Vase action this Saturday with a Second Round Qualifying tie against CB Hounslow United at the Charles Ground (3pm).
Their opponents, nicknamed “The Dragons” play in the Combined Counties League Premier Division and are currently in 15th position following their 3-0 home win over Godalming Town last Saturday.
Spirits are high in the Hoops’ camp following last week’s 7-2 replay victory over Glebe in the previous round with manager Derek Hares saying: “Because we are past winners it’s always talked about when the Vase comes around. We’ve got to take advantage of being at home and we go into the tie in good spirits.”
There are two Vase ties at the Charles Ground this weekend, with “groundsharers” Canterbury City taking on AFC Uckfield Town on Sunday, again with a 3pm kick-off.
