CORINTHIAN 2 DEAL TOWN 3

By Deal Town

The Hoops are back in the top 10 of the Southern Counties East League table for the first time since the opening day of the season after recording their sixth win in a row at Corinthian on Saturday.

And the three points were made even sweeter for Derek Hares’ side by the fact they came against a Corinthian outfit who have been one of Deal’s “bogey teams” in recent seasons.

Andy Miller gave the Hoops a flying start with a sixth-minute strike but Corinthian drew level before the break through Josh James.

Miller then put Deal back in front with a 55th-minute penalty and although Corinthian equalised again through Luke Tanner  five minutes later, Rene Rivera had the final word with his seventh goal in four games two minutes from time.

  1. Good to see the run keep going!
I have a feeling that things will be a lot tougher on Saturday against Greenwich Mercenaries FC though! 😉
They will be looking for revenge for their defeat here in September, so expect a toughie!
    Good luck to all.

  2. Yes a tough match against Greenwich expecially on their own pitch.
Who knows Deal can certainly frustrate them.
The conditions may not suit the free flowing passing we are normally used to and reckon Deal can do well.
I am so pleased for the lads right now .
Steve and Paul are doing a great job coaching the lads and with Derek as well all the hard work is getting results.
    Come on Deal.!!!!
