AFC CROYDON v HOOPS PREVIEW

By Deal Town

The Hoops will have to contend with the Southern Counties East League’s leading scorer when they play their final away game of the season at AFC Croydon on Saturday.

Warren Mfula has scored 38 times for the Trams in all competitions including both their goals in the 2-2 draw at the Charles Ground in November

Mfula’s goals have helped the Trams to stay in the top 10 in the table all season and Kevin Rayner’s side are already certain of improving on their 11th place finish of last season.

For their part the Hoops need to win their last two matches, at AFC Croydon this weekend and then at home to Tunbridge Wells the following Saturday, to have a chance of finishing in 11th place.

They will be boosted for the AFC Croydon game by the return of skipper Dean Hill who was suspended for the two Easter weekend matches, but Andy Miller has now been ruled out for the rest of the campaign because of the ankle injury which forced him to miss the Hoops’ last six games.
