The Hoops made it three wins in a row by completing a league “double” over Bearsted on Tuesday night.
They were on top right from the start and dominated the first half but were unable to convert any of the half dozen or so good chances they created while at the other end Bearsted only threatened danger on two occasions, a shot that went wide and a near post header from a corner.
So half-time was reached with the scoreline still blank, but within five minutes of the restart Deal took the lead when Charlie Walsh forced home a rebound after seeing his first effort blocked.
Then, seven minutes later, the Hoops doubled the lead when Andy Miller took advantage of a bad back pass to slot the ball home.
Bearsted then upped their game and were rewarded when a shot from their left-back was deflected past Chris Waymark in the Hoops’ goal.
The game then became more evenly contested but Deal wrapped up another three points when Steve O’Brien made it 3-1 eight minutes from time.
Deal: Waymark, Paxman, Hark, Hill, Scott, Bigginton, Miller, Walsh, Coyne, Anderson, O’Brien.
Subs: D Smith, Adams, Alexander, Gregory.
