Sahadow signs for the Hoops

By Deal Town

The club are pleased to announce that we have signed Euan Sahadow on a dual registration agreement from Folkestone Invicta. 17-year-old striker Euan is highly thought of at Folkestone and should add further quality to the Hoops’ frontline. He has featured a number of times for Folkestone’s first team over the last 12 months, scoring twice, and has also starred for the club’s youth teams over recent years. Euan also spent time on trial at Charlton Athletic last season. He will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s game against Glebe.

Commenting on the signing Steve King said, “We are delighted to bring Euan to the club in his bid to gain further experience of first team football. He is a player with a lot of quality, who I have watched many times over recent years and have always been impressed. We must thank Neil Cugley at Folkestone Invicta for allowing Euan to join us and we will be looking to support his development during his time with us.  He is another young talented player who should fit in well with the squad of players we have at the club”

As we welcome Euan to the club we will also be saying goodbye to Ryan Philpott. Due to a change in work commitments Ryan would no longer be able to commit to the club and as a result will be signing for Lydd Town. Steve King commented “We are sad to see Vin go, he has been a big character in of our dressing room and has scored a number of important goals for us during our time at the club. We fully understand his reasons for leaving and he goes with our thanks and best wishes”.

The club have also signed 21 year old Ben Chapman after a period of training with club and he will also be in the squad for Saturday’s game.
