Callum moves from Faversham
23rd January 2026
Deal Town are delighted to announce the signing of ex-Folkestone Invicta and Faversham Town captain Callum Davies.
The 32 year old defender is a major coup for the club as they look to continue their progress at Step 4. Callum started his career at Gillingham where he made 29 professional appearances. He then went on to represent Maidstone United, Dover Athletic and Bromley amongst others. However, it was at Folkestone where he spent most of his non-league career as he made nearly 350 appearances with many coming as captain. Callum has spent the last 18 months as captain at Faversham as they won the SCEFL last season and have established themselves in the play-offs in the Isthmian South East. Callum has left Faversham after returning from an injury lay-off and we are delighted he has joined us at the Charles Ground.
Commenting on the signing Manager and Director of Football Steve King said,
“This is a massive signing for the football club. Callum is vastly experienced and an outstanding defender with a track record of success. He is someone we have tracked over the last couple of years and are delighted we have been able to bring him to the club. Not only is he going to be an excellent player on the pitch I know that he will fit in with how we do things off the pitch and further help to enhance the culture we have in the dressing room. He already knows some of the boys and we can’t wait to start working with him as we continue to try and take the club to the next stage in our development. Callum is just returning from an injury but is back training and we look forward to seeing him on the field soon.”
Welcome to Deal Callum!
