Deal Town are delighted to announce the signing of Macauley Murray for the 2019/20 season. Local boy Macca briefly featured for the Hoops at the end of last season after returning from travelling and despite offers from Bostik South East clubs he has decided to commit to the Hoops for the coming season. 24-year old Macca’s previous clubs include Ramsgate, Faversham and Whitstable and it was at the latter that he was a key member of their SCEFL winning team in the 2017/18 season.
Commenting on the signing Steve King said, “We are delighted to welcome Macca to the club, he is someone that I think very highly of and we have no doubt he will improve us as a club. He showed in glimpses what he was capable off when featuring in our last couple of games last season and with a full pre-season under his belt he will be a key member of the side this year as we look to push on again this season. It is also very pleasing to add another quality local player to the squad who is at age where he should only continue to get better.”
Everyone at the club would like to welcome Macca to the club and hope he enjoys his time at the Charles Ground.
