LORDSWOOD V HOOPS PREVIEW

By Deal Town

The Hoops will bid to end a run of six league matches without a win against Lordswood when the sides meet at Martyn Grove on Wednesday night (7.45pm).

Deal’s last victory over Lordswood was a 2-1 away success in April 2015 and they have already lost to the Chatham outfit this season, going down 3-1 at the Charles Ground back in early September.

In terms of league positions there is little to choose between the sides. Lordswood are currently in sixth place, one place and one point above the Hoops, but they have played two matches more.

Deal manager Derek Hares said: “There’s still a long way to go for everyone. Two wins or two defeats changes everything.

“It’s not the biggest pitch at Lordswood and they’ve done well this season. They’ve had some good results so I’m expecting a tough game there.”
