LORDSWOOD V HOOPS PREVIEW

By Deal Town

The Hoops come up against “bogey side” Lordswood again on Saturday knowing it could be a timely moment to end their run of seven league matches without a victory over the Medway outfit.

A Deal win at Martyn Grove could see them “leapfrog” into sixth place over Sheppey Utd who face a tough away game at league leaders Corinthian.  But a Lordswood victory would see them jump above the Hoops on goal difference so it’s an important afternoon for Derek Hares’ side as they continue their bid for a top-six finish.

Lordswood suffered a setback last weekend when they lost 3-2 at in-form Glebe while Deal were making it four wins “on the bounce ” with their 2-0 home success over Croydon, and they can also draw encouragement from the fact they have won three of their last four away games.

Jude Arthurs and TJ Bramble return to the squad after missing the Croydon game while new signing “Macca” Murray will hope to make his full debut for the Hoops after coming on as a second-half substitute last weekend.
