LORDSWOOD V HOOPS PREVIEW

By Deal Town

The Hoops will try to prevent Lordswood from completing a league “double” over them when they travel to Chatham on Wednesday night.

The “Lords” won 3-1 at the Charles Ground in early September and have been in the top 10 in the league virtually all the season but Deal will be able to draw encouragement from the fact the Medway outfit have lost their last two league games, against Glebe(0-2) and Croydon (0-3), without scoring a goal.

Those defeats have seen Lordswood slip from fifth to eighth place in the table, three places and four points above Deal, but Derek Hares’ side have four matches in hand on them after playing just seven games so far in 2018.

  1. Not a favourite ground for the lads in getting results.
Maybe because the pitch is narrow but maybe they can change that by putting in a good team performance.
The team can really get themselves in a good position and with games coming thick n fast maybe confidence can pick up again.
The weather has really dampened things and not playing has done damage.
I wish the lads all the best in a tricky encounter.
    Come on Deal.!!!!

  2. Only one way to get confidence back and that’s to win the game! ?( Much needed and overdue in my opinion)
We’ve got games in hand over the teams above us,so let’s make use of them!?
Tonight will be tough,as will Glebe and Erith Town but on their day,I feel the team are a match for anyone(well, apart from Crowbrough and Sevenoaks?)
    Will be there?
