After recording excellent away draws in their last two matches at Corinthian and Crowborough the Hoops will look to carry on the good work when they return to Charles Ground on Saturday to take on high-flying Sevenoaks.
The performance at title-chasing Crowborough last weekend was especially encouraging for manager Derek Hares, who said: “The work-rate of the boys was tremendous. We had a lot of defending to do in the game but did it well.”
Sevenoaks are also on a good run in the league, having won their last four matches to move back to within five points of joint leaders Crowborough and Ashford.
But their manager Mickey Collins won’t need reminding that when he brought his side to the Charles Ground at the end of January for a Kent Senior Trophy quarter-final tie they had won their previous five matches – but it didn’t save Sevenoaks from a 3-2 extra-time defeat.
Striker Connor Coyne, who has missed the Hoops’ last two games because of a knee injury, is only rated 50-50 for this weekend while Jack Paxman is unavailable but Lee Scott, Joe Anderson, Ryan Philpott and Danny Smith all return to the squad.
