HOOPS V GLEBE PREVIEW

By Deal Town

The Hoops are at home on Saturday (3pm) against a Glebe side who they became very familiar with last season after the two teams played each other a total of seven times in league and cup.
Four of those matches were at the Charles Ground and Derek Hares will be hoping that his side can repeat the goalscoring success they enjoyed in them, winning three and drawing one and scoring 19 goals in the process.
Glebe let in 71 goals in 38 league games last season, the fourth worst record in the SCEL Premier Division, but the Chislehurst outfit have been more defensively sound so far this campaign and their two league defeats have been at the hands of table-topping Beckenham Town and Chatham Town.
Hares said: “We have played Glebe quite a few times over the past couple of seasons and done pretty well against them at home, but it will be a difficult game (on Saturday) as they have made a good start to the season.
“We are getting our players back who have been on holiday or injured, so we should have a full squad to pick from.”

Looking forward to a good game and a decent crowd tomorrow. Let’s keep the good run going! 🙂
