After two tough away games against sides in the top four the Hoops return to “home ground” on Saturday with a fixture against Bearsted.
The Bears are currently ninth in the table, four points behind Deal, but with three games in hand on the Hoops and they are unbeaten in their last four matches, including an extra-time victory in the third round of the FA Vase against Steyning Town.
Deal will have to pay particular attention to experienced striker Peter Williams who has scored 16 goals already this season including seven in the Bears’ last three games.
For the Hoops new signing Dave Pilcher, who scored 10 goals for Canterbury City before joining Deal last week, is likely to make his debut for Derek Hares’ side as they bid to end their 2018 Charles Ground campaign on a winning note.
