The Hoops will be hoping to build on their six-point Bank Holiday weekend when they take on Lordswood at the Charles Ground on Saturday (3pm).
The victories over Beckenham Town and Canterbury City lifted Deal to sixth position in the Southern Counties East League table and, with Cray Valley and Sevenoaks Town both involved in FA Cup ties this weekend, another three points against Lordswood would see the Hoops rise to at least fourth place.
The Medway side are in 10th place after gaining their first win of the season on Monday, a   2-1 home victory over Bearsted, and Hoops manager Derek Hares said: “We were probably the underdogs against Beckenham and Canterbury, but will be most people’s favourites this time.”
That said, Deal usually find Lordswood obdurate opposition, with three of the last four league meetings between the sides ending in draws and Lordswood winning the other, so the Hoops can expect another tough 90-minute examination on Saturday.

  1. If they continue to play in the same mould that they have in the last two games, then I feel a victory should be on the books.
Lets hope for good weather and a good crowd to get behind the team.
