ERITH TOWN V HOOPS PREVIEW

By Deal Town

The Hoops’ two new signings from Gillingham, Jude Arthurs and TJ Bramble, are set to make their debuts in Saturday’s league game at Erith Town.

The two Gills youth players have signed on work experience terms and Hoops head coach Steve King said: “We are looking forward to seeing them play. TJ is quite rangy, he covers the ground well and Jude is a combative little player who works hard and is decent technically. The big thing for them is whether than can cope with the physicality of the league.”

The Hoops go into the game in ninth place in the table, five places and five points above Erith, but the Dockers have four matches in hand on Deal and last weekend produced their best performance of the season with a 4-1 home win over Sheppey United.

The Hoops for their part are without a victory in eight matches but “Kingy” added: “Eight games without a win looks awful but when you break it down the performances haven’t been that bad. We’ve played a lot of good sides and drawn too many games, but we believe in the players we’ve got so we are not getting on their backs We’ll keep positive with them.”
