DEAL TOWN 4 NEW ROMNEY 0
Alfie Foster fired in a splendid hat-trick as the Hoops cruised to a comfortable victory in their latest pre-season friendly against Kent County League Premier Division side New Romney on Tuesday.
After Connor Coyne had given Deal a 25th-minute lead Foster struck the visitors’ bar with one effort before drilling in a 20-yarder to give the Hoops a 2-0 half-time cushion.
And the young midfielder then produced two more excellent strikes in the second half against a New Romney team who, managed by former Hoops boss Dave Johncock, showed plenty of spirit and no little skill but who struggled to cope with Deal’s attacking pace.
The Hoops are next in action at home to Sevenoaks Town on Saturday (3pm), and again there will be free admission for all spectators.
