Deal Town are delighted to announce the signing of Steve Butcher. 22 year old Steve is a local lad who joins the club having most recently played for Hastings United in the Bostik South division last year where he was part of their team that qualified for the play-offs. Steve is a strong and quick player who can play in a number of positions in defence and midfield and will be a big asset to the Hoops this year.
Steve started his career at Gillingham and went onto make appearances for their first team. Since leaving the professional game he has had spells at Maidstone United, Ramsgate and Hastings United making a number of appearances for each of those sides.
We look forward to watching Steve in a Hoops shirt this year and hope he enjoys his time with us.
