Hoops’ chairman Dave Chmura has expressed his delight at the
club’s improved home support this season.
Saturday’s gate of 175 for the match with Erith Town meant the average
attendance figure for the 10 league games at the Charles Ground so far this
campaign is 187, an increase of 54 on last season’s total average attendance of
133.
Chmura said: “This is something for all the club to be proud and excited about,
especially when you consider that as recently as five seasons ago the average
attendance at the Charles Ground was only 71. I think this big increase
underlines just how far the club has moved forward both on and off the field.”
