Ash win Referees’ Memorial Shield

Ash won the Deal & District League Referees’ Memorial Shield at the Charles Ground on Friday night.

The Premier Division champions defeated a Deal League Select XI  5-4 in a penalty shootout after the match had finished 3-3 at the end of 90 minutes.

The annual  charity match, held in memory of two former local referees, Bernie Grivell and Eric Middleton, raised £370 for Martha Trust.
