AFC CROYDON V HOOPS PREVIEW

By Deal Town

After three weeks without a game the Hoops are eager to get back into action at AFC Croydon on Saturday at the start of a busy last six weeks of the season.
Derek Hares’ side have got to play 13 matches in that period and the Hoops manager admitted: “It’s going to be difficult, especially if we pick up a few injuries. We haven’t got the biggest squad in the world so it’s not as though we can leave three or four out each week. It’s asking a lot of everyone but we’ve got to do it.”
And the good news for “Del” is that the Hoops’ recent injury problems have eased a little with Harry Alexander (leg) and Ben Chapman (hamstring) the only absentees this weekend.
Deal will go into the game looking to complete a league “double” over the Rams after beating Kevin Rayner’s side 2-1 at the Charles Ground in December thanks to goals by Chapman and Billy Munday.
And they will be facing a team who are currently experiencing a poor run of form, with AFC Croydon having lost seven of their last eight league games – a sequence which has seen the Rams slip to 17th place in the table.

  1. Good luck to all involved.
At least with three weeks out, hopefully we’ll have a fairly, fit strong team stepping out on the pitch tomorrow.
Looking forward to three points heading back to the coast tomorrow night. 🙂
