MENS FIRST TEAM
Captain Kane was born in Whitfield and grew up around the Dover area, Kane started his football career at Dover Athletic and played with the Dover under 18s side.
In 2015, he joined Ramsgate Under 23s and quickly advanced to the first team, where he played for 18 months.
After making sporadic appearances for the first team and often being played away from his favourite centre half position, Kane took a year out of football.
Kingy knew Kane from when used to teach him at Dover Grammar. So in 2017, aware that Kane was without a club, Kingy invited Kane to a training session at Deal. His long association with Deal began. Kane signed with Deal in January 2017.
In 2020, Kane was made Deal Town captain. A role he still holds going into his ninth season at the Charles Ground.
In the last couple of seasons at Deal, Kane has been unfortunately hit by a couple of MCL injuries which has limited his starts for Deal. To get his match sharpness back at the back end of 2024/25, Kane had some games at Canterbury City, rejoining acquaintances with Deal Legend, Connor Coyne.
In the period of Kane’s captaincy Deal progressed substantially, moving up league positions each season and ultimately Kane won the SCEFL title as captain on his 28th birthday in 2023/24. In the subsequent season, Deal achieved their highest ever league finish.
