Ashley Miller is a forward who has played in all advanced positions in his career.

Ash started his career at Dover Athletic when he was 4 years old before moving to Gillingham where he spent 14 years.

In Ash’s debut game for the Gills against Crewe in League Two he scored his first senior goal and got man of the match. A moment Ash recalls as one of his greatest football achievements. His career at Gillingham also drew the attention of Man United and Liverpool.

While at Priestfield he also had loan spells at Ramsgate, Hythe, Tonbridge Angels, Maidstone and Whitstable and eventually left permanently when he was 19.

Post Gillingham, Ash spent three months playing in America at South West Florida before he returned to the UK rejoining initially Maidstone and then he had spells at Hythe, Folkestone Invicta, Ramsgate (twice) and Faversham (twice).

Ash joined Deal as a forward midway through the 23/24 season from Faversham at a time when both teams were fighting for the SCEFL league title. Ash’s last game in his second stint at the Lillywhites was in fact Deal’s 4-2 win at the Aquatherm.

Before joining Deal, Ash knew a lot of the squad which made the switch easier. He had played previously with Rory Smith and Tom Chapman at Ramsgate. Kingy was his PE teacher at Dover Grammar and he had remained good friends with Aaron Millbank who was in his year at Gillingham and with Macca who was in the year above.

The 2025/26 season will be Ash’s third season at Deal Town.
