Alex Green

Alex was born in Medway but grew up in Sittingbourne which was where he began his youth career at Woodcombe. In his youth days he just enjoyed his game and being part of the club.

At 15, Greeny made the decision to take the game more seriously and made the move to neighbours Sittingbourne, he spent a year there before joining Dover Academy. In his third season at Crabble, he advanced to the Dover first team, where he established his position as a centre back. He stayed at Dover for a couple of years while also participating in coaching activities at the club.

Alex was in and out of the Dover first team, he already knew Kingy who managed his under 18s team at Kent and Alex was keen to get regular football. So, in his second season at Dover, he went on loan to Deal. Before his loan spell came to an end, the move was made permanent.

Greeny has played both at left back and at centre back for Deal during his time at the club. In both positions he utilises a strong characteristic of his playing style, striding forward with the ball out of defence.
