The Charles Ground
Deal Town played Beckenham Town on 22nd November 2025 in the Isthmian League South East Division. Deal Town won three - one against Beckenham in front of a crowd of 479 at the Charles Ground. The Deal goals came from Ash Miller, Ben Chapman and Owen Wilkinson.
Deal Town faced Beckenham on a cold Saturday afternoon at the Charles Ground, seeking to improve on last weeks away loss at Jersey.
Deal immediately started the better and missed several opportunities from corners with the Beckenham defence managing to prevent the home side from taking the lead. However, in the 10th minute, on the counter, a cross from the right by Hennessy would put Miller one-on-one with the Faversham goalkeeper, Miller calmly fired Deal into the lead.
However, Beckenham would be given a way back into the game. Within minutes of his goal Miller would be substituted for Owen Wilkinson following an injury.
Despite not creating much throughout the first half, Beckenham would respond. The ball found the feet of Marshall. Although Tonkin saved the shot, he was left helpless against the following strike from George Porter. This levelled the game on the cusp of half-time against the run of play.
Deal would quickly regain their lead in the second half. A cross from Paxman found the feet of Chapman, who finished the chance in the 56th minute.
Things would only worsen for Beckenham. A foul on Chapman earnt Deal a penalty, and Wilkinson would calmly slot the ball into the bottom left, doubling Deal’s lead in the 65th minute.
Throughout the rest of the game, Deal controlled the match, with Beckenham being unable to create chances. Both sides would make substitutions but the score stayed the same; the game ended 3–1 to Deal. Jack Hanson would be named Man of the Match, putting Deal 10th in the league and resulting in Beckenham sinking into the relegation zone.

On the result, Manager Steve King was full of praise:
Really delighted with the three points. I felt we played really well on tough conditions and bounced back in the second half after the frustration of conceded just before half time in a first half we dominated. It was the first time we have beaten Beckenham in 8 years so a good day all round, in front of another excellent crowd.
