MATCH PREVIEW
21st February 2026 - 3:00 pm
Isthmian League South East Division
The Charles Ground

Deal take on Hastings United Football Club at The Charles Ground on 21st February in the Isthmian League South East Division (IST). Kick off is at 3.00 pm.
Deal Town will be aiming to carry their strong momentum into Saturday’s Isthmian League South East Division clash with Hastings United. The Whites have been one of the form teams in the division in recent weeks, picking up impressive results across January and February. Deal Town’s recent run includes victories over Herne Bay (4–1), Margate (3–2) and Sevenoaks Town (3–2), plus a great win against top of the table Three Bridges (3–2).
Deal's home form has been especially encouraging, and they will be eager to use that confidence to push for another positive result.
Hastings United arrive in Kent looking to arrest a dip in form of late. The U’s have shown flashes of competitiveness this season but results have been mixed. Recent outings include a goalless draw with Merstham and a heavy defeat at Faversham Town, while narrow losses to Whyteleafe and Crowborough Athletic highlight the fine margins they have been coping with. That inconsistency has seen Hastings occupy a lower position in the table and they will be desperate to pick up points on their travels to climb away from the bottom end of the division.
Earlier in the season, the sides met at The Pilot Field in October, Deal Town emerged 3–1 winners.

Hastings United is the town’s premier football club, with a long and proud tradition of representing Hastings and St Leonards in some of the sport’s most prestigious competitions. There are, however, many expenses connected with running a football club and we rely on support from local businesses and the community.
The Men’s First Team currently plays in the Pitching In Isthmian Football League Premier Division, Step 3 of the non-league pyramid. In addition to league games, the Club also takes part in the FA Cup and the FA Trophy, as well as numerous county and regional cup competitions. During the 2012-13 season, we gained national recognition for reaching the third round of the FA Cup, before being eliminated away to Championship side Middlesbrough FC. This was the furthest the Club had ever progressed in the world famous competition, and our second round replay was televised live to a worldwide audience, and played out in front of a capacity crowd of over 4,000 at the Pilot Field.
In addition to the Mens First Team the Club also has under 18 and under 23 Development Squads which assist in providing a development path for aspiring young footballers in the professional game.
In recent years the Club has promoted and now supports a Hastings United Women’s First Team; Hastings United Inclusive & Disability Team and the Hastings United Walking Football Team
In January 2024 Hastings United Football Club were awarded the coveted 3 Star FA Accreditation which at that date was held by around only 8% of football clubs in England.
