Deal Town 2 - 1 Whitstable Town - 2nd July 2024 - 7:45 pm

Yesterday evening saw us host Whitstable Town for what was both club’s first run out of the 24/25 season.

The game began evenly, with both teams demonstrating some positive attacking movement; chances to be had at both ends. That was until an excellent Macca Murray free kick was headed in by Josh Vincent, giving us an early lead.

Whitstable continued their attacking threats, and a neat through-ball to the wing saw a low cross converted for the equaliser; a well-worked finish from our guests.

Both sides made plenty of changes into the second half, which saw us give youth an opportunity. As many began finding their way to the exits, Rory Smith smashed home a fantastic 94th minute winner.
